Privacy Policy — ChemAtelier for Canva

Last updated: 1 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ChemoInfo Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with ChemAtelier (the "App"), an application that runs inside the Canva design editor.

Summary

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us. Every drawing operation runs locally in your browser. We operate no server for the App, and we have no ability to see the structures you draw, the designs you create, or your Canva account information.

1. Information we do not collect

We do not collect, receive, or process any of the following:

  • Your name, email address, or Canva account details
  • The chemical structures you draw, import, or export
  • The designs you create in Canva
  • Usage analytics, behavioural tracking, or device identifiers
  • IP addresses or location data

The App has no backend server of its own, no login or user account system, and makes no network requests to servers operated by us or by any third party other than Canva.

2. Data processed locally on your device

The following data is processed entirely within your browser and never leaves your device except as described in Section 3:

  • Chemical structures you draw. Held in the browser's memory while the App is open.
  • Molfile data you paste or export. Parsed and generated locally. Pasting uses only the text you provide; exporting writes to your clipboard at your request.
  • Drawing preferences. If your browser permits it, your drawing settings (font, bond length, colours, style options) are saved in your browser's local storage so they can be restored the next time you open the App. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted anywhere, and can be removed at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

3. Data handled by Canva

The App runs inside Canva and uses Canva's official Apps SDK. When you choose to add a structure to your design, the App uses Canva's SDK to:

  • upload the generated image of your structure to your own Canva media library (it appears in your Uploads), and
  • place that image into your design, together with the data needed to make the structure editable again later.

This information is transmitted to and stored by Canva under your own Canva account, not by us. If you use the colour picker, the App requests colours from your Canva Brand Kit through the SDK; those colours are used only to render your structure and are not retained by us.

Your use of Canva is governed by Canva's Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review it.

4. Cookies

The App does not set cookies and does not use any advertising or analytics cookies.

This website (chemo-info.com) is operated separately from the App and may use cookies or analytics for its own operation. Any such use is described on this website and does not involve data from the App.

5. Children's privacy

The App is intended for general and professional audiences and is not directed at children. Because we collect no personal data at all, we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

6. Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. To remove data held on your own device or in your own Canva account, you can:

  • clear your browser's site data to remove saved drawing preferences, and
  • delete uploaded structure images from the Uploads section of your Canva account.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
